I have been painting for years and love the art of creating images from a blank canvas or water color paper to an impression. Some of these images are studies and others are commissioned work.

My art presents “Whimsical Moments” as a series of loose watercolor paintings that celebrate the joyful essence of life, featuring an array of charming scenes with people, animals, and vibrant flowers.

In one painting, a group of children are gathered together in color sceme of light, their laughter echoing through the air. Each child is depicted with loose, flowing brushstrokes, their figures alive with movement and energy. It captures and fun moment in time as each one has their own expression. The colors are blended together and lively, capturing the carefree spirit of youth.

Another painting in the series features a whimsical menagerie of horses in a magical racing setting. A curious audience peeks out from behind a rails, the riders orange and blue jackets separating them from each other. It’s a heated race, their legs bouncing with each leap. mud flying up from below, adding to the sense of enchantment and wonder.

Amongst the flowers, a standalone painting showcases a bouquet of vibrant blooms, each petal and leaf rendered in loose, expressive strokes. The colors blend and bleed into one another, creating a harmonious dance of hues. Delicate petals of roses, daisies, and tulips intertwine, their beauty captured in a moment of full bloom.

The watercolor technique used in “Whimsical Moments” is fluid and spontaneous, allowing colors to bleed and blend freely. Splashes of paint create a sense of movement and spontaneity, capturing the fleeting moments of joy and beauty found in everyday life.

Whether it’s the laughter of children, the charm of woodland creatures, or the delicate beauty of flowers, each painting in this series invites the viewer to step into a world of whimsy and imagination. It is a celebration of the simple pleasures and the magic that surrounds us, captured in the fluidity and vibrancy of watercolor.
